I am running for the Illinois House of Representatives, 8th District seat, being vacated by La Shawn Ford, who is running for Congress to succeed Danny K. Davis.

The 8th District includes Chicago’s West Side Austin neighborhood and the Southwest Suburbs of Brookfield, Berwyn, Cicero, Countryside, Forest Park, Hodgkins, LaGrange Park, La Grange, North Riverside, Oak Park, Proviso Township, and Western Springs.

My first priority is to represent the interests of all the citizens in the 8th District, and to ensure that the communities where they reside receive the maximum services they are entitled to receive from the State of Illinois.

I want everyone in the 8th State House District to be respected and heard on the issues they believe are important. I am going to the Legislature in Springfield to ensure that your interests are fully and aggressively represented.
